GENERAL HANDYPERSON (PART TIME – 10 HOURS PER WEEK)

Calow Parish Council is looking to appoint to the position of General Handyperson.

Applicants should have a passion for working in a community organisation and have demonstrable experience of carrying out general maintenance tasks. Applicants should also ideally have previous experience relating to gardening and/or grounds maintenance. Experience in using a variety of hand and power tools is also required. The Handyperson will be expected to work throughout the Parish of Calow although the main area of work will be Eastwood Park and the Recreation Ground. The successful applicant will be required to attend training courses as required and will be expected to liaise regularly with park users, sports teams and Parish Council members.

The salary will be in line with the Real Living Wage, currently £12.60 per hour (reviewed annually) and the post holder will be expected to work an average of 10 hours per week including weekends. Hours may fluctuate with seasonal demand.
