It's Your Neighbourhood

It's Your Neighbourhood is an initiative run by the RHS. It's non-competitive and you are awarded a grade between one and five.

The idea behind IYN is to try and "green up" spaces as well as be climate friendly and involve the local community. It's a step below Britain in Bloom.

We were judged in August 2022 and, as it's our first year and we still haven't been able to start our two major projects, we were a little anxious we'd not have enough evidence to even get a level 1.

However, we achieved Level 3 Advancing- so we are all really chuffed with our achievement and hope we can do even better next year!

In our feedback we were called, "This energetic new group" with "a sense of local pride and identity"

Gardening Achievement 15/30

Total marks awarded 53/100

Not bad for a group that doesn't even have a garden yet!
